I think there is such displeasure at this current government and its leadership that there will be some odd results in November. Maybe, just maybe a TOP influence on the next government!

I expect the electorate to stay with National. Physically it's like an old fashioned eggtimer, with the top part being rural Tasman- forestry, farming and lots of well heeled retirees on the Moutere Hills. Mapua and so on,. Blue territory. It's the part of the electorate which has significant population growth.

The bottom part of the timer- the West Coast has Hoktitika- daily farming and tourism. --mostly Nat. Greymouth still produces Labour supporters but the farming is significant in the Grey Valley. Westport also split. The party vote for NZ First may also be substantial. and the NZ first candidate may run second in many of the booths on the Coast.
